Where I started

Me and Em (Summer 2011)
I have never been the skinny girl. I haven't been to the beach and felt comfortable in a bikini...ever. My progression in my weight gain happened slowly so I never really recognized it until I would see myself in photos. Sometimes I would wish I could take back my senior year because I hated all the photos. Toward the end of 2011 I started to become more and more uncomfortable with myself. I rarely wanted to have my picture taken and felt very insecure

January 2012:
Like most people I wanted to "lose weight" for my New Years Resolution and just like most people I didn't stick with my resolution. I continually felt defeated. I stepped on the scale one day and saw a number I did NOT want to see.  I tried to do Insanity with my sister (Emily- the blonde one -->) but I felt like that was not meant for me.

So! I did some research on other BeachBody Programs and found Turbo Fire! In my mind it was the next step down from Insanity! Intense Cardio conditioning (punching, kicking, muscle toning etc.) with a super spunky trainer- I was all in! I started eating better, drinking more water!

I LOVED Turbo Fire and found Chalene Johnson incredibly motivational! I ended up getting a little off  course and started trying other BeachBody programs like Brazil Butt Lift and I would try Insanity every once in a while! In that time my sister had become a coach! I saw her helping people and I LOVED when she would ask me for advice! I soon realized I wanted to make a difference and help others as well!

August 2012
I had lost about 15 pounds and wanted to become a coach but felt like I would not make an impact because I wasn't a twig. This was not the case! I purchased my first Challenge Pack! My Program was ChaLean Extreme and Strawberry Shakeology! I was a COACH!

I had lost about 25lbs through changing my diet and exercising! My team was slowly growing and they inspired me! On the days I felt "too tired," "I didn't have time" what ever excuse- I would mention that to them and they would lift me up!

2011 Spring to November 2012

Don't give up on yourself. I still am working to get to my ideal weight. I have undoubtedly been in the same spot. Seriously. I would love nothing more then to hear from you. You create your future self through the actions you take today!

2013( Recap)

I was able to start an amazing Fit Club in my home town! What started off as just a small, small, small group of us turned into an amazing group of motivated and energetic women! We started in September (2013) and continued throughout the rest of the year and into 2014. I think what I loved so much about this group of ladies, was that we were all able to awkwardly attempt the workout moves, with the occasion laughter but complete the workout together as a team. I feel so blessed to have been able to spend every Thursday night with these ladies and although, regretfully I had to move down south BUT I always think about our fun "Funky Fresh Night" when we all did Richard Simmons's workouts together and always laugh when I think about it!

To My Fit Club Girls:
Thank you so much for coming each week. It makes me so emotional when I think about the small little "Fitness Family" we created throughout the past few months! I felt like each one of you were extended family! I hope that in the fall you guys return back to fit club (hopefully I can visit you guys!!! And teach you some awesome stuff I will have learned!) And I can't wait to see how much more amazing each of you have become! You have made a difference in my life and I hope I have positively influenced yours! I hope that you pass the positivity and healthy lifestyle on to your friends, family and those around you! We are all meant to live healthy and as happy as we possibly can! Remember that! LOVE YOU ALL!! <3

Happiness tip: If you are scared to try a fitness class because you think it might be to hard... Grab a friend and go anyways! There is always the BACK of the room and NO one is judging you!! I bet that you walking through the front door, may put a smile on the host's face! So don't be afraid! You will have fun (even if you laugh at yourself!)

2014
So 2014 has been AMAZING!!! My boyfriend (Jake) and I actually relocated down South! (YAY!) Which is CRAZY because frankly I never thought I was going to move out of NY! (As much as I miss and love my hometown, I was ready to adventure out of the state) I was so excited when Jake called me in January, mind you, I was working out when he called me to tell me that he received a job offer in South Carolina!

Naturally I started crying... like any sane person would, when someone tells them their life/lives are going to completely change! So in late February we packed out our vehicles and headed out of the snow (woohoo!) and drove down to our new home together in SC! <3
